One of the areas of expertise in which Dwight Darby & Company has evolved into in the past 10 years is the auditing of Financial Institutions. These include state chartered banks and national banks and we are capable of auditing those registered on the Securities and Exchange Commission. The banking industry has become increasingly complex over the past several years and the staff at Dwight Darby & Company keeps up to date with the changes and complexities through in house CPE and attending seminars within the State of Florida and other national banking conferences. We also receive weekly and monthly newsletters and other correspondence from the various suppliers of financial institution news to keep up with current trends and issues. We keep in constant contact throughout the year with our banking clients to make sure that they are aware of any legislative changes or trends that impact them. We also prepare their quarterly federal and state estimated tax calculations and perform reviews of their loan files to assess the adequacy of the loan loss reserve. We consult with the payroll administrator in regards to the employee benefit plans that are available and the related tax consequences. We prepare all required tax returns, whether federal or state income tax, state intangible or tangible tax, employee benefit plan information returns and directors/officers personal income tax returns, to name a few.
